Versa 4 is tracking too many floors

Hi Community,

I have noticed a few posts relating to the floor counts going mad. Mine started going mad around the middle of last week (13th March). I went from averaging 9 floors previous weeks consistently to now over 100 with last week clocking 192,99,184,224 and this week has been 163,84 and 58 (so far today). I have restarted my watch but still it continues. I removed my watch when I shower or go swimming. Nothing in my life has altered to consider a sudden dramatic increase in floors. I woke this morning to find I already climbed 10 floors in my sleep!

Any other potential fixes for this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Simsy8989 - it is likely a watch fault if nothing changed, you can try cleaning it or doing a factory reset (not without risks) but it probably won't help so may be a waste of time and create other problems getting everything back as it was.

However as Floors isn't used in any other measurements so has no value other than informative you can basically ignore it if the watch is working fine otherwise.

If it is still under warranty it can be replaced, possibly with a refurbished one which may have other problems or be fine.

Hi there. Unfortunately I’ve had this issue for months and have to say Fitbit support has been shockingly bad. Not sure if it’s since Google takeover. Floors were being miscalculated after 4 months but despite being in warranty all I was ever told was to run the latest update. I sent multiple screenshots. I’ve attended badges I haven’t earned. Now they closed my case with no resolution. Really disappointed. Do better Fitbit
