My new versa four, less than one month old with over 90% charge, has just gone black— completely no ability to activate, charge or interact with .

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Pgh67!
Sad to hear that you're having an issue with your Versa 4.
To hopefully get things fixed I'd suggest trying to restart your device as a first approach. To do so please keep it's button pressed for around 10 seconds until you'll see the Fitbit logo on it's display.
If that won't work for you, please try if selecting a different clock face will get things right. Here's how to do that:
How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
If your Versa 4 is OK afterwards, you can switch back to the clock face you'd selected before.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hi @Pgh67 - in addition to what @Talahthas says, did you see 90% charge on the watch or in the Fitbit App, if the latter check the time this was last updated, it could be that the watch needs charging, and sometimes the charge cable can be faulty so it doesn't charge at all see How to check charge cable - Sense 2/Versa 43 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
If all else fails the watch [or cable] can still be replaced under warranty, you can always contact customer support through the Help & support section of the Fitbit App .
