Versa 4 issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought my versa 4 in December 2022. Now it’s useless:

- counting steps is off by ~2miles!!
- it stopped syncing and every time I have to “forget device” and re-install.

- now it just stopped turning on (even though it’s charged)

is it still under warranty? Because I want my money back.

Hi there, @DollyAlk. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out.

Regarding the syncing difficulties, please try the following steps:

  • Unpair your Versa 4 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 4.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.
  • Set up notifications again.
  • Once your Versa 4 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 4 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

As for the screen not turning on, please make sure you've restarted your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device?. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

About the distance not being accurate, please confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:

Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, please see How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
