Versa 4 keeps showing the wrong time and date

Anyone else having a problem with the Versa 4 jumping a day ahead and/or losing time? On Saturday had to reset it because it was saying it was Sunday. This was the third time that’s happened. Now today, Monday, it’s losing time, off by 11 minutes. It was a Christmas present but I’ve been having problems for about 4 months now. At first I thought it was just a fluke, but now it seems to becoming a pattern. And it’s very hard to re-sync to correct it. Anyone else having these issues?

Hi @Debinusa - a watch that loses minutes per day if not synced is faulty.

But first switch to a Fitbit clock face and hold the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start.

This should set the time right, if not in the Fitbit App click profile photo and App settings and toggle off/on automatic time zone and repeat the process.

If that still fails switch to another time zone and sync then to the  correct one and sync.

If you are still having syncing problems try logout of the Fitbit App and restart the phone, and make sure there are no other switched on devices that are running the Fitbit App.

Hi there, @Debinusa. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out.

If the steps provided by @Guy_ don't make any changes, I'd suggest trying the following steps:

  • Unpair your Versa 4 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 4.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.
  • Once your Versa 4 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 4 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

I tried turning it off and back on, your first suggestion, and it increased the time that it’s off from 12 minutes to 45 minutes. Also tried changing the time zone but it didn’t take affect. I’m going to try logging out and back in now. I just shouldn’t have to go through this, very frustrating.

Finally got the time to correct itself. I spent about an hour yesterday and over an hour today trying to get it done. I shouldn’t have to do that. I think it’s defective. Your thoughts?

Thank you for your help. I kept trying what you and Guy suggested for over an hour and it finally corrected the time. When I first held it in for 10 seconds and had it restart the time it was off went from 11 minutes to 45 minutes. Just kept turning it off & on, resetting, resynching etc. I think it’s defective.  Thank you for your help.

How do I get to the clock face?  My Versa 4 just want to show steps, exercise, etc.  I just want the date and time unless I ask for activities.

Hi @Lindsayt124 - normally a button push will get you to a clock face but depending on the the clock face chosen it may have different modes, and then it's a matter of understanding how it works.

Also pull down on the watch face to get to Quick Settings and turn off all the icons, then when you raise your wrist you should get the clock face.

I am having the same issue. My time zone will not reset and keeps going to an African setting even though I have repeatedly set it to the appropriate time zone.
