My Versa 4 smartwatch keeps turning off lately, it's not because of a lack of battery, it just turns off whenever it wants.

Hi there, @Ángeles71. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Versa 4 keeps turning off. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:
If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device once again as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

I did everything I was told, it worked for a day, and now it's shutting down again. This has been happening since the last update.

I’m having the same issue. I just got mine as a gift brand new and it has been shutting off. I had it charged and I did the hard reset/cleaning parts still having the issue.

Hi @Ángeles71 @Tul9 @Jopea81 - this may be a fault with the latest firmware so things to try.
Fully charge, restart and sync and turn off Bluetooth, and only turn on when needed for a manual sync. You will loose notifications etc. during this test.
But if the fault is due to a syncing problem it will become apparent and could be related to a Fitbit App issue
If the watch turns on when you hold the button a few seconds and wait for it to start, pull down on the watch face to get to Quick Settings and see what the battery level is.
Likewise if it won't start, plug in to charge and note battery level, possibly around 80%?
Unlikely but just in case the problem is with a non Fitbit clock face, switch to a Fitbit one.

I’ve been advised mine is a battery issue and to send back for replacement customer service were great I’ve had it almost 2 years so just within warranty

Speak to customer service this should not be happening if new. Warranty is 2 years so I am just about eligible for a replacement

I'm going to test it. Anyway, the second-to-last update was the best, and I don't know what's wrong with the recent one that makes you all refuse to revert to the old version. You should do the testing yourselves, as is proper, until you get your latest update working. I've read more comments like mine, "Since the Christmas update, my watch keeps turning off by itself." There's a pattern, it's a simple fix for everyone.

I did and they acted like I was an idiot and told me to do exactly what I said I tried already and still having the problem. Then they just said well if it happens again call back…I’m just going to tell the person who got it for me to return it and get a different watch because I am beyond annoyed.

No, it didn't work, and the worst part is that it's been a month now and you still haven't given us a solution.

Thanks for this thread. Seems I'm not the only one that just got a new verse 4 for the holidays and it's been shutting off at random moments. All of 3 weeks old. Just had it on for all of 45 mins and it goes blank, and that was after 4 days of no activity much less charging to now operational again. Not happy. Considering how much I love and use fitbit, this is my 3rd one and I'm starting to dislike the brand.
Is there an actual reason for this to keep occurring??
