Versa 4 never getting sleep

I've had fitbits for years and never had an issue but I got the versa 4 at Christmas and noticed it started off rarely logging my sleep and now it never logs it. When i try to enter a manual sleep log it doesn't even show up after i click save. Ive looked at other people's issues with this and tried the most common solutions (moving the watch higher up, putting it on the other arm, changing the sensitivity etc) but nothing seems to be working

Thank you for taking the time to try to fix it on your own, and for providing the details about this difficulty. 

Please, make sure to follow all the steps listed in this help article: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?  

Since sleep is recording once your device is detecting heart rate, please see: What factors can affect my heart-rate on my Fitbit device?

If the above works and your Versa 4 is now tracking your heart rate accurately, please monitor your sleep data. If after a few days you don't receive sleep stages, please Why don't I see sleep stages today?

Make sure that you tried the restart procedure described here and check if you continue to experience the same difficulty .In case the problem is related to the Fitbit app, please try the following as well: 

  • Log out from the app.
  • Clear Cache and Cookies for the Fitbit app in your phone's settings.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Log back in to check if you're able to record sleep.
