Versa 4 not auto recognizing exercise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My new versa 4 is not auto recognizing exercise in the app. I updated my device and tried to manually add. It does not add it. I spoke with customer service by phone 4 times, done various trouble shooting including deleting and reinstalling app. I was disconnected 4 times by phone. I call back, give them case number and my phone number in case disconnected. Never get a call back. Never fixed problem. I have wasted at least an hour. I'm beyond frustrated.

The most basic, most easily auto-recognized exercise is walking at least 15 minutes.  Have you tried that?

There is no manually adding for auto-recognizing.  There are 7 set exercise types that supposedly can be auto-recognized.  If have talked to customer service I suppose you have checked this, but at the risk of repeating:

On phone app, tap days of exercise tile, then gear icon near top right. Tap Walk, make sure "auto-recognize" slider near top is turned on and time limit is reasonable.  Setting minimum time limit to 10 minutes makes everything more likely to be recognized.

Yes I did take a walk. Also you can manually add in from the exercise tile in the app. That is what the plus sign is for. I've been doing it for years. I'm very aware of the settings and capabilities.

Oh yes, you can add in from the exercise tile on the app, but that has nothing to do with auto-recognizing exercise sessions.

So, a but confused, but it sounds like you are talking about 2 separate issues:

1) Exercise not getting auto-recognized.

2) Cannot manually add exercise session.

I suppose you must be one of those just will not use the Exercise App to record exercise sessions, which is okay.

No. I have it set to auto recognize. It's didn't recognize my walk so I manually added my walk and that didn't work either. Then hours later it showed up in auto recognize as a walk twice as long. I'm very familiar with how it works and the settings. It malfunctioned. I spent an hour on the phone troubleshooting.
