Versa 4 not recording

My Versa 4 has been recording on my iPhone & to the app for the past 2 years. I turned the watch off then on.  My iPhone says it’s synced but data is not recording activity.  Also, on the watch, instead of my regular watch face, the screen gives me language choices & the next screen asks me to download the Fitbit app which I already have.  To troubleshoot, I did delete and  reinstall app.  Nothing changed on the app & the 2 screens still appear on the watch.

Any ideas?

Hi @E_643 - it seems the watch did a factory reset.

Remove the watch Bluetooth entries from the phone and restart both watch and phone and then in the Fitbit App set the watch up again as for the first time.

Hi @E_643!  Welcome to  the Fitbit Community!

@Guy_ Thank you for your collaboration.

Thank you for sharing the details about your Versa 4 that is not syncing with your app.

There are some essential requirements for your Fitbit to sync properly, please check the following:

  • 1- Your phone has the latest version of the Fitbit application installed.
  • 2-Your phone has a data connection or Wi-Fi connection.
  • 3- Your phone software is up to date.
  • 4- The Bluetooth of your phone is activated.
  • 5- Your phone is not receiving other Bluetooth signals. (speakers, headphones)
  • 6- If you use more than one device to synchronize, make sure that only the one you want to synchronize is nearby.
  • 7- The battery charge of your Fitbit device is not too low.
  • 8- The background in your phone settings is activated.
  • 9- The battery saving option is turned off.

If you want more information about the synchronization you can take a look in the following help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
