Just got my versa 4 and struggling to change how notifications are shown. Previously on my Sense, when a notification came in it showed a preview of the body, so it was very easy to glance at and see if I needed to respond quickly. Now it first shows the name of person sending the message or an icon of the app fist and then after a few seconds fades to show the content of the notification. This is a pain as it now takes much longer to read. I would like to change it, but cannot figure out how. I don't need to know Gmail is sending me a notification or that I have a message from my wife. That is shown to me at the start of the notification itself. Can anyone tell me how to change this?

Hi there, @astano. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and sharing the details about the inconvenience with your Versa 4.
The notifications work the same way as they do on the Fitbit Sense. Have you tried changing the clock face? For more information, see How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
From the clock face, swipe up (Sense and Versa 4) or down from the top of the screen (all other devices) to see your notifications. Tap a notification to expand it.
Phone calls | Name or number of the caller appears. If you have an iPhone or Android phone, you can also accept or reject calls on your Fitbit device. |
Text messages | Name or number of the sender and the message appear. |
Calendar alerts | Name, location, and time of the event appear. |
Email notifications | Name of the sender, subject, and message appear. |
App notifications | App name and message appear. |
For more information, see How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

That's not true that the notifications are the same. The entire point of my question was that they are not.
On the Sense, notifications would come in and show a preview of the message/email superimposed over the screen like so:
Now I get the following: https://photos.app.goo.gl/EvbLNhgfhmAgNSrt8
So the app icon shows first with the name of the person sending the message then that fades and shows the message itself. I don't need to see the app icon/name and want to turn that off. That information is useless as it is repeated at the beginning of the message and means I am staring at my watch for many more seconds than I need to be.

I have the exact same issue, the notification starts with the name of the app that the notification is coming through just like your picture and I have to wait for a few seconds for the actual message to appear. Very frustrating. Didn’t have this on my versa 2. It was much better but unfortunately my screen stopped responding
