Versa 4 notifications with iPhone not staying connected

I have had my Versa 4 for two days and am ready to send it back. I have the Fitbit charge 4 and have never had this issue. When I first set up Versa 4 notifications were working. Within an hour they stopped. I changed several settings on my iPhone within notifications based on what I found online, I checked Bluetooth and it was on and Share System Notifications is on, I rebooted my phone and notifications started working again. Then within 30 minutes they magically stop, no reason, nothing has changed on either device. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but I purchased this model for the size of the screen and the notification feature. Very frustrated! Help!

Hi there, @TYMahoney. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 4 and for the steps you've already tried to fix this issue.

May I know if the Sleep Mode and DND settings are turned off? If these settings are on, your watch won't vibrate or turn on when receiving any type of notifications. You'll find more details about these settings here. Also, make sure the Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked for your preferred apps under your phone's settings > Notifications.

If the issue persists after double checking the above settings, give a try to the following:

  1. Forget your Versa 4 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth settings nearby.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app. For iOS devices, see this article and restart your Versa 4 one more time.
  4. On your phone's settings, tap Notifications and make sure:
Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked for Fitbit, Phone, Messages, Calendar and any other preferred app.
There is a check mark below Notifications Center.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  6. Tap your profile picture > Sense > Notifications and test your watch.

Hope this helps.

I’m curious as to whether the V4 is receiving the notification but not vibrating or not receiving it at all. I noticed on my V4 when vibration is on light I barely feel it and have missed a number of notifications. When I turned it to strong I notice it. Also I noticed that notifications are way different that on my previous V2 watch regarding how long they stay on the watch screen and how they appear in general.

Something else to try is shutdown your phone, then reboot the watch by holding the button in until it comes back to the Fitbit logo. Then power on your phone. The few times my notifications got wonky this seemed to help.

Just a few more things to consider as you troubleshoot.
