I’ve had several fitbits. Until last week I had a Versa 4 that I was very happy with. However, I’d noticed a few times that the strap clip sometimes comes loose, particularly when playing strenuous sports.
My Fitbit dropped off my wrist while skiing last week and I lost the device. So I thought I’d leave this here as a warning.
I contacted support and they suggested I buy a special sports strap. I think there should be a warning that the standard strap (and therefore the watch) is not suitable for sports.
So be careful when consider using a Fitbit Versa 4 with the ‘new improved’ standard strap for strenuous sport. I may be in a minority (?) but I preferred the old more reliable strap.
I’ll now need to consider whether the time has come to pay the Garmin or Apple premium!

It’s not only strenuous activity. I was packing my gym bag and another time I was carrying my 2 year old downstairs. It’s not a great set-up.
