My Fitbit stopped tracking my sleep no July 1st 2025. I have tried everything…

Hi there, @Derl. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is not tracking your sleep data. I understand how annoying this can be, I will do my best to help you with this!

I recommend considering the following in order to get sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

I’m having the same issue. Very frustrating because my password not recognized and “forgot password”doesn’t send instructions to email. Every time I get close to resolution I asked to “Try Premium” and won’t let me advance unless I accept the “free offer”. Maybe it’s a scam to make you try premium?
