Versa 4 stuck on Fitbit logo, won't give code

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa 4 has been working great until last Friday evening. I had it off, and when I went to put it on, I noticed it was at the Fitbit logo. It has yet to change to anything else. I followed all the instructions listed here in the community, and where I get stuck myself is when it says to enter the code. I can't get any code as it's still stuck on the logo. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the forums @Tfellows

Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding this difficulty with Versa 4 and thank you for trying to fix it on your own.

Please confirm that you've tried the steps below in the order listed:

Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.

  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 4 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Hi, I've followed all of the steps you've written. I have nothing paired and as I go to pair my Fitbit, I have finally gotten it to show up as a device but when I select it to be paired I receive a message on my phone that states "An app is needed to pair this device". I never can get a 4 digit code on my Fitbit either.

I've now tried again, this time holding down the side button on the Fitbit, it flashes a few times then I receive a big red X, then it returns to the Fitbit logo app. When I was in the app and while holding down the button, the app was showing it as searching for the Fitbit, then after a while it would say,  "Rry again."

I'm not sure what else to do.

Hello again, do you have any other suggestions for me to try? Do I just need to throw it away and buy something else?

Thank you, TFellows

Hello ManuFitbit:

My Fitbit is still not working, I've done everything you've told me to do. I even had tried that before I sent the initial message. Please help!

Thank you. I'll try that too, however, I'm sure I have done that as well.
Thanks for the reply.

Did this work for you?

Because I have the same problem, the red X and after a while also not possible to see the code to couple the device.

Already tried with switching off my Phone. I have gone to the shop where I bought it and they are going to check it.

Wim85,

Did you also by any chance have set the watch to factory settings prior. That's what I also did. And it seems to work. Back to normal.

I am having the same issues. Please let me know what you discover. I have tried EVERYTHING suggested. All I have is a blue fitbit logo. This all started after I installed the update on Saturday.

Yes. I have done this. All I have is a blue fitbit logo. The phone seems to see the fitbit asit keeps trying to pair, but the fitbit will not offer the four digit code or anything else.

I haven't had any luck with getting any help. They all suggest the same
thing and I've done what they suggest several times, can never really get
it to reboot and never a 4 digit code. It's always stuck on that logo.

I'll post if I find out anything.

I finally went through the Customer Service telephone line. Since mine is still.under warranty and they couldn't fix with "factory resets", they are going to replace under warranty.  Not entirely satisfactory, as I had the same thing with my Sense 2, but a solution.

Unfortunately the shop where I bought it, could also not fix it. They gave me a complete refund and I can choose a new device that I like
