Versa 4 stuck on Fitbit logo

Hello,

My Versa suddenly stopped working. First the screen was black now it is just constantly stuck on the logo screen and is not functioning. I have tried restarting it (many times - not on charger and on charger) including factory reset. I have deleted the app and readded. I have shut off bluetooth and tried to reconnect. I have restarted/updated my phone. All of this it just goed back to the logo screen.

I see this is a ongoing issue. I have only had this device for a year. These devices are expensive to have it unfunctioning after a year when it is well taken care of is disheartening.

Please advise next steps.

Hello there, @13138789. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

To solve this issue, please follow the steps below:

  • Unpair your Versa 4 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 4 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.

If you can't get started with your Versa 4, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

I have tried all the suggested things and it still does not work.
I notice when I try to do a hard restart on the fitbit when not on the
charger it does not vibrate when it restarts. When the charger is connected
and do a hard reset it will vibrate to turn on. Both times it goes to the
logo then the logo flashes blue and then there is a red X. After which the
logo just stays on the clock face and I can't do anything with the device.

Please advise next steps. This device is under a year old bought Nov 27th
2022.

Thanks,

So I had a similar behavior from my versa 4 recently.  It was way easier to resolve that what you're describing so I'm guessing this isn't going to help you but just in case...

Do you by any chance charge it with the usb connected to your computer?  So I'm not 100% sure this was the issue I was having, but I was in the habit of charging mine this way, and after I had done a factory reset for a different reason (we've all been there, right?) it booted up connected to the usb charger which was plugged into my running laptop and it exhibited the same behavior you were describing.

I only experienced it for a few minutes, and eventually resolved it by moving the charger over to a wall outlet and then doing all the normal button-pushing / restarting / thoughts and prayers and it pretty quickly went back to normal and now it's totally  fine (even back to charging via laptop usb).
