My Versa 4 suddenly stopped working yesterday, and the screen went black.
I got a notification on my phone app that I needed to configurate my device as a new device. My phone seem to locate the divice, and a get on the step where I'm supposed to enter a 4 digit code from my Versa, but the versa remains black.
If I press and hold the button on my Versa I will get a Fitbit logo blinking for a while, then a red cross - before the screen turns black again. I have tried different reset methods from this forum, pressing and holding for 20 seconds and 8 seconds. I have a few times gotten a sort off progress bar under a smaller logo, but once the progress bar is completed, nothing more happens.
Does this have something to do with a recent update? I have read several similar posts from the last weeks, and it doesn't seem like others have managed to solve this issue either.

Hello HanneO. I have just read your post above. I have a Fitbit Versa4 and did the Versa4 update a few days ago. Until then, no problems. Today, I'm unable to sync the Versa4 watch to my updated firmware app. I checked the Bluetooth system on my mobile phone, and this told me there is a bug in the fitbit App. Maybe this is the problem. This is only my first opinion.(after the Versa4 update it turned itself to sleep mode and awake again during sleep!!)

Of no help, but I have the same issue since yesterday, did all the same steps. Very frustrating.

The same thing happened to my Versa 4 today. My phone shows that it last updated this morning but it is no longer communication, using the app my phone cannot find the Fit Bit. I know the battery was in the 80% range this morning, and that is usually good for 3 to 4 days before it needs to charge again. It appears to be dead.
