Force stop app: doesn't work. Restart Bluetooth: doesn't work. Restart device: doesn't work. Restart phone: doesn't work.
Check community: yup, not just me, the app just sucks now.

I’ve just been for a run, started the exercise on my app. When I finished the steps had recorded on app but not on my watch. Just tried to get them to sync, the app has synced to the watch and lost all the steps I did during my run. Now the app is saying it can’t sync to watch!! So infuriating

Agreed!
I did all those things too. Very frustrating, and NO input from support.

I just upgraded from my Versa 2 to Versa 4 not even one week ago. I can’t sync today. I’ve done all the steps suggested including deleting app and reinstalling. Coming here it seems like this is a reoccurring issue. I never had this problem with my Versa 2. I just want to return it and forget Fitbit! The app updated their look for their sleep score and it’s horrible. It’s hard to read now. How disappointing.

And then magic happens and sync works again (as of 10:15 am EDT). I do appreciate the wizards working behind the curtain, but it would be nice to have some acknowledgement of a problem and resolution however intermittent it may be. At least that would help us users feel validated and maybe even a teeny bit important to FitBit...

Magically working again with no explanation kind of makes me feel even worse about this whole ecosystem. Was it really something on the server side that was messed up?
Why on %^&*$ Earth does a watch on my wrist and a phone in the same hand need a server farm in some back corner of the world to talk to each other? The sync between these two devices should happen seamlessly whether or not it can sync with the cloud. Is the whole system designed to be as fragile as possible? Any single weak link in the chain takes down the whole process? This speaks horribly about the design of the entire Fitbit network in a way I'm not sure I'm properly articulating, but it leaves a really, really bad taste in my mouth.

Now after the app is finally working, I cant get my bluetooth to find the freaking watch!

My versa 2 won’t sync today and support said it’s a known issue. Why isn’t that posted on this forum anywhere? I’m beginning to wonder if my Fitbit is bricked.

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.
Thanks for letting me know about your watches and the troubleshooting steps that you've tried so far. While I'm glad some of you got their Fitbit devices syncing again, I understand where you're coming from and I'm sorry you've gone through this experience.
In case you continue having issues to sync, could you confirm if you've tried the steps described here? Please make sure to exhaust them as they have worked for other members.

I had more calories and when I updated the app on my phone they went away. Impossible.
