Versa 4 won't turn on

I have  had my Versa 4 for 6 months. Suddenly stopped turning on. Can sometimes turn on if hold button extended time. Have tried resyncing with phone. Have tried turning off and on. Have tried doing factory reset. Nothing works. It is fully charged so that is not the issue.

Hi @Mollyrocks - if the watch is not turning on and not syncing how do you know it's fully charged, it may not be and that might be the problem.

Just in case the instructions may help How to check charge cable - Sense 2/Versa 4 won't charge, won't start or blank screen

Phone shows it at 99%. If I hold the button for an extended time it will go to fit bit logo screen and flash on and off. Then show an large red X. Then comes on for a few seconds. After that is turns off. To turn on I have to repeat the process.

Hi there, @Mollyrocks. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is still not turning on. I understand your concern, we're here to help you!

As per the description of your post, it sounds like your Versa 4 ran out of battery even if you saw 99% on the Fitbit app, note that the battery level on the Fitbit app updates every time you sync. That means that if your Versa 4 hasn't synced yet, your app will still show the battery percentage of the last sync.

Please note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working.  Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.

When it has had two hours, try restarting your Versa 4. I would recommend trying this maybe twice in a row if a first try doesn’t work.

If the above doesn't work, please see Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

I cleaned the both the charger and the watch. I charged it for several hours. It briefly came on, then turned off and would not turn on. Could not try restarting it through the watch, would not stay on long enough

Still  trying to find way to fix my fitbit.  Is there anyplace I can send it for repairs. Hate throwing it away after only having it for 6 months!
