Versa 4 won't vibrate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought my Versa 4 2 months ago and it's never vibrated. My notifications are turned on (and they are visible) I just don't feel when messages arrive or calls are incoming. Also if I set an alarm/timer the Versa 4 doesn't vibrate to indicate the time. I have it set to strong vibrate - but nothing. I also recently tried a hard reset by pushig the button for 10 seconds but this didn't work either. cheers

Hi there, @JenZ60. Welcome to the Fitbit Communtiy Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is not vibrating. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, I'd recommend checking if your Versa 4 is in sleep mode or DND. When sleep mode is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake your tracker, firmly tap the screen twice.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.

When the do not disturb setting is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders to move are muted.
  • The do not disturb icon illuminates in the quick settings.

If the above doesn't describe your issue, please see Why didn't my Fitbit device alert me?

On a side note, please make sure that your Versa 4 is up-to-date. For more information, see How do I update my Fitbit device?

Hi Maria

I've done all I can. The do not disturb and sleep mode are off - and I do get incoming calls and notifications on my watch but it just doesn't vibrate when I get them. I also updated my Versa 4 and tried again and still no vibrations. The fact that it has never worked since I bought it, make me think its a technical fault of this particular watch? cheers

Hi @JenZ60 - your symptoms seem to indicate the watch vibration motor was faulty and the watch may need replacing under warranty.
