Hello everyone. I am looking for a new watch, because my current watch is Samsung Gear S3 and it is pretty outdated. I can't stand that the battery lives for only 12 hours and then I have to charge it, that is why I am looking at Fitbit watch, because I've heard that Fitbit have a really good battery life. I saw that Versa 4 and Charge 5 are on sale right now and I think it is a good time to get myself a watch, but I don't know which one to pick: I really like my Gear S3 and I would love to have the same experience but with better battery life. Charge 5 don't have Altimeter and Versa 4 don't have more health tracking system that Charge 5 have. And then I saw that Charge 5 and Versa 4 don't support Google Assistant, but it is pretty okay, but what about their quality? When I was watching some of Youtube reviews, guys in the comments said that their Charge 5 died after 6 months, it was replaced and then the new one died 6 months later too. Is it an issue? Does it occur on Versa 4 as well?

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @nami069!
As I have both of these devices, I'd like to share my personal experiences to hopefully make your decision a little bit easier.
Charge 5 is a sleek unobtrusive device and maybe one of the best devices in the fitness tracker category. As a plus in comparison to the Versa 4, it has a one phase ECG. But Charge 5 has a relatively tiny display with a limited numbers of clock faces.
Versa 4 on the other hand is what I'd call a smart Fitness watch. Although lacking an ECG, it can also detect AFib using a different method. Wearing Versa 4 gives you more of a watch feeling given it's size. It may be one of the slimmest devices in this regard, very pleasant. Also you have the choice among a few thousand clock faces. Be aware though that there are no third party apps available to play with.
Considering reports of defective devices, please keep in mind that community forums like this one often have to be seen as hospitals as no one would post anything about how wonderful her/his experiences are but only spend time for posting her/his problems to hopefully get help.
If you have any concrete questions, feel free to ask.
