while trying to fit the strap i accidentally pressed the fitbit pay many times and the Versa got locked, "Unlocked with Phone."

 

Went to Phone unit settings -> Versa -> Settings -> Reset PIN-> connecting -> failed-> removed Versa in hope to Re-pair it. After deleted Versa -> Smiley Mad *Versa prompted unlocked with phone, but its been removed how to unlocked!

 

help is there anyway we can hard reset Versa????

any kind soul please give me advice, Fitbit admin too?

I noticed that @jampalha7 but do not understand why, if the phone is needed to unlock the tracker, what the thought would be for removing the tracker. The instructions to unlock are easily found by searching for the word "lock" after tapping on the help link found below. 

 

We need to do a factory reset. 

On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, then continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time, or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

I appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting your Versa prior posting. Let me share with you that if you enter an incorrect PIN code 10 times, you're prompted to unlock your Fitbit device in the Fitbit app. To unlock your device with your phone:

 

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon () > your device image. 
  2. Tap Device Lock.
  3. Find the option to reset your PIN code. 

 

Note that after you reset your PIN code, you must add your cards to Fitbit Pay as if you were setting it up for the first time. For more information and details please check: How do I use the device lock on my Fitbit device?

When I said * Versa has been removed from FitBit app how can we Reset the
PIN?Whilst the Versa is still prompting Unlocked with your phone.

Please advice as efficient as your twitter team~

When I said RESET PIN.. after 5 times it don't work and reconnect WIFI and reboot mobile for 2 times, removal of versa is next I can think of , if else what would u do? it was in the hope of able to re-pairing with VERSA again....... so I removed VERSA from FitBit app (inphone) thus did not realized that VERSA repair 4 digits will be blocked by the UnLock with your phone message (as the Versa had vibrated whenever I try to pair and add Versa into fitbit app ) I don't see it as a problem but rather it is much safe than my VERSA ending up with bad villains hands.

Yeah the team at the twitter was very efficient within 3 hours

I have the same problem. The Versa is no longer linked to the app. The Versa is blocked and can only be unlocked by telephone. This is not possible because Versa is no longer linked in the app. Resetting via the text above is not possible. Tried several times. The strong vibration is not coming. What now?

Hello @anacute may we have more details please? 

 

Is your Versa still connected to your Fitbit account and showing in the Fitbit app? 

If so, at what step does the reset of the pin fail?

what was the error message?

I guess you need the right buttons and time to reset it

@jampalha7. if the tracker is still connected to the users account. This is easy to fix. Open the Fitbit app, go to the trackers settings, reset pin lock. No need to even touch the tracker. 

If there was an error, it will be seen in the app.
