API client is not authorized by Fitbit to access the resource requested. - On Personal App

ANSWERED

I'm using a Personal App I registered because I want to get timing resolution of 1m on a time series, but I keep getting the error "API client is not authorized by Fitbit to access the resource requested." I have generated my OAuth token and I am logged in (if I do a full day, I get results correctly).

Is there something I am missing? I'm using the latest python-fitbit library with Python 3.8

I went back to the app page, refreshed the tokens and now it works. Very strange. It's possible that I copy/pasted incorrectly from one of my other applications.

I don't see a way to delete the original question. Sorry for this taking up space.

Hi @Unitcircle,

Welcome to the forums!

No worries about the post taking up space. Other users may find your post useful even if it was minor. I'm glad you were able to resolve the issue before I had a chance to see it.

According to our Troubleshooting Guide, you can also encounter this error if you attempt to access another user's data on your personal application.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
