I am a power user of Tasker, with the AutoWeb plugin (which provides access to the Fitbit API). Currently, I'm GREATLY enjoying the ability to update/enable/disable the silent alarms via API.
However, I'd love to have access to more settings. For example, it'd be great if I could use my existing Tasker setup to toggle the Quick View Gesture to turn off when I go to bed (it's bright!) and turn back on after I dismiss my alarm in the morning. I'd similarly love to be able to toggle Notifications and even Reminders To Move (in case I go to bed before the normal time window). Any chance these kinds of settings will ever be accessible via API?

Developer here, bump because I would love access to change my fitbit's quick view setting so it is off by default when I sleep, see this thread https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Turn-off-quick-view-when-I-m-sleeping-or-at-cust...

Is there anyway you would be able to help me with this? I'm having a terrible time getting this going (been blocked my Fitbit 3 times) and reddit is down at the moment.

Hi @Aia8998
I can think of 3 options for you.
- The only settings you can change with the Fitbit Web API is configuring the alarms on older Fitbit devices. See https://dev.fitbit.com/build/reference/web-api/devices/create-alarm/.
- If you have a smart watch, there are different setting you can configure using the Device SDK. You can reach out to the SDK community for assistance if you need it.
- You can reach out to our device customer support team at https://help.fitbit.com/support and one of the support agents can talk to you about which settings can be configured for your specific device.
