Alarm Application

ANSWERED

I got a Fitbit for christmas and I think it is a very interesting device and have already run into a use case that I would like to try and incorporate the Fitbit API.  So after reading the Terms of Service I'm not to sure what I would like to do would be against the terms of service or not?  The basic issue I'm concerned about is the managing of alarms on the fitbit in another application.  Since this duplicates a piece of the current software, I was wondering if this actually violates Section 3 Point G of the Terms of Service as the spirit of the application as what I want to write is just extending to the fitbit device itself.  This piece of functionality at first would 1 of the 2 main functions but it its mostly a proof-of-concept to see if I can actually see the data I need as well as in the proper intervals.

Thanks,

Chris

This particular use case sounds reasonable and would not violate the Fitbit API Terms of Service.
