Automatic Fitbit data export to spreadsheet

ANSWERED

Hi all,

I'm new to this community and relatively inexperienced when it comes to programming, so apologies in advance if this is the incorrect forum to pose this question.

I'm in the medical field and would like to keep track of patient activity (mainly steps per day) with the goal of using this data to help patients recover from surgery.

I think an ideal solution for this would be to provide all patients with fitbits that automatically upload daily activity data to a single spreadsheet that aggregates all patient data so I can plot out activity info and spot any outliers which may signal some sort of complication that warrants closer follow up.

I am hoping that someone with more knowledge and experience can let me know if this is possible, and if so how to set up a system like this.

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

It would definitely be possible, although not trivially easy. You'll find some good leads here.
