Can you add updates to Fitbits?

If you want to add an update to any Fitbit, and you are from the HQ/Moderators, does it show up on the Fitbit or does it need to be built in when making the Fitbit altogether?

Occasionally Fitbit does issue updates, both as firmware updates to the device itself and as software updates to the app.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
