Hello, I am interested in connecting a locally hosted website to Fitbit to pull my personal information. I went to register the application, but I don't know what to enter for a few of the fields, such as app or organization websites.
Two questions based on this:
1. Is developing a local app for personal use allowed?
2. If yes, what should I enter in these fields to complete registering my application.
Thanks in advance,
Anakaren

Hi @akrojas,
Welcome to the forums!
If you're developing a personal app for testing purposes, it's fine to put dummy information in the organization, privacy policy, and terms of services. Once you begin asking other users to consent to share their data with your application, you will need to update this information and provide a valid organization, ToS, and privacy policy.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Might I ask what site you want to develop? It seems like an interesting idea, not gonna lie. One of the harder stuff along the way is to find a site hosting platform that is trustworthy with personal information. I went through that a few months ago, so I'm just writing about this in hopes of helping you out a bit as this is the part that I know some stuff about. One tip I have for you is to use a site that offers comparisons between different hosting services, like 28Msec for example, which is the one that I've been using. Honestly it makes the whole variety on the market seem so much better put in place.
