Device API for bluetooth/music?

I just got the Fitbit Ionic and was looking forward to develop my own personal music player for my device after seeing that there's an API. However, I feel like it's a bit limited and was wondering if any of the things I'm trying to do is possible/will be possible in the future:

 

  1. Ability to play audio from device
  2. Methods for controlling bluetooth device (mainly headphones) from device.
  3. Ability to communicate with an Android app (IIRC from reading the forums, this can be done by creating a server and having a REST api to communicate between the app and the companion)

Would love to see a podcast app that you could load podcasts to the watch directly from the app......
