Device id is not unique for Mobile Track

We built our system under the assumption that device ids are unique in fitbit's system. We are now having an issue where a user cannot connect because device id already exists. Both users are using Mobile Track. Can a fitbit party confirm that device ids are unique or not? Thank you.

Can anyone provide us with some information on how device ids are generated, we're still having issues with device ids not always being unique. Device ids are used as a lookup in our system and in some cases two fitbit devices have the same device id in the fitbit system.  Thank you

hi @SteveWT, do you mean ID's coming form the user/-/devices.json end point?

My experience is they are unique to a user using the device, so if you give a device with soemone else they will get a new device id even though the device is technically the same.

Is that what you mean? or are you looking at a different ID?

Device IDs are unique, even for MobileTrack.
