Hi All,
Our dev account is attached to the developers portal on dev.fitbit.com and uses an email that is managed by Google Workspace.
If we don't move our Fitbit login to a Google Account, will our registered applications on dev.fitbit.com be removed on February 2? If we have to migrate it over, how can our corporate email, managed by Google Workspace (which is currently the main login on the developer portal), keep registered applications?

Hi @FitTrend ,
Thank you for reaching out.
Moving a Fitbit account with Gmail address (@gmail.com) is generally supported. Reference
However, in your specific case, migrating Fitbit accounts with Google workspace account is not supported.
You will need to create a new account instead. Then we can assist you in transferring your existing registered applications to this new account. This transfer will not impact your current access tokens or your data.
Thank you,
Inca

I appreciate your response.
So, we can't transfer it to the company's email domain, and it will have to
be a personal email like a Gmail address? Are there any plans to allow
transfers to a Google Workspace-hosted domain? It seems odd that we can't
keep the data and registered apps with the company's domain. Regardless of
how it's migrated, can you point me to something that explains the steps to
move the existing registered apps?
Sincerely,
Marc

Hi Marc,
I am sorry to confirm that your understanding is correct. You can't link your Fitbit account to a Google Workspace (company email) domain. Your Fitbit account must be associated with a personal Google account, such as a Gmail address.

instructions on how to move our registered apps. Do they automatically move
over as well when the account is migrated? If not, can you point me to
instructions on how to move any registered apps?
We want to make sure our users do not experience downtime.
I appreciate your help and clarity.
Sincerely,
Marc

I apologize that there isn't a public link or tool for you to manage app migrations directly. This is because developers can't move registered Fitbit apps themselves; these actions need to be handled by Fitbit side. Typically, this process doesn't affect existing user accounts or their associated data.
Once your new Gmail account is ready, please file an Issue Tracker ticket. For details on how to use the Issue Tracker for developer support, you can refer to this link: https://dev.fitbit.com/build/reference/web-api/help/#private-support.
Sincerely,
Inca
