Hi @vikput,

The redirect URI may use any protocol. If HTTP is used, Fitbit strongly recommends (and may require in the future) the use of a Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol.

For more information, please see our documentation for Redirect URIs. I hope this helps!

Hi Fitbit,
I tried to use HTTP protocol for redirect uri but its giving me error.
Callback url http://somedomain.com/fitbit/api/callback protocol is HTTP.
HTTPS is required.
But the tooltip of your app manager is saying that HTTPS is not required
and after diging on internet i got this.
So please tell me what to do.

Thanks & Regards

Hi @vikput,

I'm sorry to hear that you are still coming across an error.

So I that I can investigate further, can you private message me a screenshot of the error you are seeing, your application settings at dev.fitbit.com/apps, and provide me with your authorization URL?

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

Hi @vikput,

After some research and speaking with the team, I can confirm that HTTPS is required for callback/redirect URIs.

If you have not done so already, please ensure that your protocol is set to using HTTPS and let me know if you run into any other issues.

In the meantime, I will be working on changing the documentation to reflect this information.

I hope this helps!
