Why syncing to Apple Health through 3rd party is limited to 3 years worth of data?

Hello,

I had to wipe the Syncsolver app from my iPhone since it was not working. Deleting it got rid of all synced data to Apple Health as well.

As i reinstalled Syncsolver it worked... but it just exported 3 years worth of data from Fitbit to Apple Health.

Thus i have lost from Apple Health data from 2014, 2015 and part of 2016.

Developer tells me that this 3 year limit is set by Fitbit.

Since i expect to live forever and data is valuable to me unless Fitbit enables 3rd party apps to sync ALL data from the very beginning i might have to ditch Fitbit devices and purchase one that works directly with Apple Health.

Hi @Elfary74

There is not a 3 year limit on retrieving historical data.  There might be a limit to the amount of data that can be return by a single API call requiring the application to make several calls to retrieve the user's entire Fitbit history.  The application should be able to retrieve the data as far back as January 2008 (I believe).

Feel free to have Syncsolver reach out to us on the forums.  We're happy to figure out why they are only able to retrieve 3 years worth of data.
