I am importing a TCX using
https://api.fitbit.com/1/user/-/activities/[ID].tcx
However, the TCX file doesn't include the <HeartRateBpm> nodes. If I go to the Fitbit site and manually export a TCX for the same training entry, the nodes are there. Am I doing something wrong here when I do my automatic import; is it a permissions thing; or is it a deliberate omission? All pointers gratefully received, thank you.

If this is for a swimming activity, it could be because the HR sensor doesn't operate during swims. Apparently water interferes with its accuracy so it's disabled.

I'm not able to reproduce the problem you're reporting. When I export the tcx file through the Web API, I am getting the HeartRateBPM information.
Would you please private message me your Fitbit user ID? I'll take a closer look.
