I've written data collection systems for Fitbits for about half a dozen studies for the College of Health Solutions at Arizona state university, and have gotten your permission to access minute-level data for most of them. Part of my job training was a short course on Research with Human Subjects, which covered research ethics, privacy and all of the other concerns in your new Research Pledge. I'm actually very happy to see this, and I hope you continue to expand your efforts toward collaboration with researchers.
My question is: Will be requiring any sort of compliance documentation for existing or new applications?

Hi @Kevin_H,
I'm glad to hear that many many of these topics were addressed with the release of our updated Terms of Services and Research Pledge.
I have confirmed with the team that there is no compliance documentation needed for existing apps at this time.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have additional questions.
