Onsen UI v2 with Apigee SDK

I can't get Onsen UI v2 and Apigee JavaScript SDK to work together using Monaca Cloud IDE. I have tried loading the SDK manually and through the loader.js and I get the following error:

onsenui.min.js:3:9456TypeError: undefined is not an object (near '...age(pages.shift())}).then(function(html)...')

I am not even instantiating an Apigee client. I didn't have any problems with Onsen UI v1 using the manual load. Any pointers on what I can do to resolve this?
