Receiving error 503: service unavailable

ANSWERED

Receiving error 503: service unavailable while accessing the web api. Its my first time getting this error and I suppose its on the web api side. Is that correct? I am building a thesis application relying entirely on fitbit data and I am concerned. How often does this happen, and will the issue be fixed soon?

An outage (server down or some other issue) is normal for all fitness/health platforms, it happens to Garmin, to Strava and also sometimes to Fitbit. This outage was just a few hours if I'm not mistaken. You can check the site https://status.fitness.com  Don't worry, this doesn't happen often, and if it happens, normally only for a short period of time.
