Hello,
I am attempting to implement a delete user notification per https://dev.fitbit.com/build/reference/web-api/subscriptions/#notifications-of-deleted-users . Currently our application has two subscriber endpoints for body and activities. I want to ensure that if a user is deleted, a notification is sent for these subscriptions, however the document is not straight forward about this. I was under the impression the endpoints for our subscribers would handle incoming updates as well as deleted users. Is this not the case? If it is not, do I need a new subscriber/subscriber ID with a new endpoint to handle this? We get the appropriate emails for deleted users just not any notifications and I would like some clarity so I know how to proceed. Seeking any information for clarity

Deleted user notifications should be coming through your existing subscribers, and I apologize for any confusion within the documentation.
If you are not receiving notifications for deleted users through the API, can you please PM me the following information?

@ErikPW Thanks for sending that information to me.
I was able to find something that matches up with that timestamp. It looks like this user had deleted their Fitbit account at that exact timestamp, which may be why you didn't receive an alert for the deleted user. While it looks related, it still doesn't make sense to me why you wouldn't receive an alert in conjunction with the email you received.
I am going to follow up with the team to see if this is expected behavior or a bug, then let you know what I find out. In the meantime, can you let me know if you are not receiving alerts for other users as well or if this is was a one-off?

@JohnFitbit Thanks for the info. On our end we are currently implementing handling these delete notifications for activity and body, however, even though the emails come in for -all- users, the notifications never come through those endpoints for -any- user. So, for us, this is not a one off.
Everything is configured currently so that we should at least be notified of a user account deletion from fitbit, even if we currently are not taking action on those notifications for the user. Is it possible for you or any of the dev team to confirm whether the deleteUser notifications ARE being sent over to us? I'd be curious as well to hear back on what you learn from the dev team. Let me know if you need any more information.

@ErikPW We're currently looking into this right now. Though unfortunately, our logs only store up to 7 days of data, which means we're unable to investigate the last user you provided that you did not receive a notification for.
So that we can continue our investigation, can you please PM me the info for another user that recently deleted your app and did not receive an API alert for?
