Sleep API: Stages vs Classic

Hello!
Is there a way to find out by the device ID, if the same supports stages tracking or classic tracking.
I say that because stages and classic data are different so the function that handle the data must be different as well.

The Web APIs are not going to tell you the functionality supported by the device.   This help article should give you some information about sleep stages and the devices that support it
