Surge chrono and/or SDK?

here is a copy-paste of my facebook post ( https://www.facebook.com/FitbitFrance/posts/1128019330546133 😞

Hi, I just bought a fitbit Surge, was wondering how I could measure my rest times for weight training: I just want a chronometer, I don't want to log the time I measure as weight training, but as resting time... Maybe could we have a multi-mode time tracker?

Also, is there a SDK to develop custom modules for the surge? I'd love to dev some stuff and share it on github or whatever online platform, so that everyone can have fun with it. I understand you might not want to open source all your firmware, but if there is a public API/module, that'd be great!

That's pretty much it. Just read about this very old post : https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Force/Fitbit-sdk-for-development/m-p/131667#M13884 , not sure it's relevant anymore. Any news guys?

Regards

Welcome to the Fitbit Forums @pylaterreur! By now there's no way to start the stop watch without recording an activity. You should check the Feature Request forum to see if someone has already suggested the features you would like to see. If they have you can vote for them to show your support. If they haven't you should go ahead and post feature requests for the changes you would like to see. (That is the forum Fitbit uses to gauge peoples interest in changes to their products.)

Regarding your 2nd inquiry, I've moved your post to the API board. Here you can find further information regarding with this matter.

I wish you the best!
