Hello
I am a designer of interactions (UX designer) and have recently test driven the FitBit.
I have found the Fitbit to be smooth and easy to use and learn. It is effective in monitoring the general wellness of my lifestyle.
In contrast, as a user it would be of great benefit if:
1. health indicators had a hide/show function so that I can monitor only what is important to me at the time it is important. For example, I may not be concerned about calorie intake. I would have less to look at on my app or on the web if I could hide that feature until I needed it.
2. there was an indicator that monitored the amount of healthy food vs unhealthy food consumed each day, perhaps as a pie chart along the lines of here (http://getupgetmovingusama.weebly.com/, n.d., accessed 3.2.2015) but with an additional section for unhealthy food.
I hope my user centred suggestions are of some help.
