Hi all,
I have two questions related to the resting HR of the .json file
1) I have downloaded the data but I don't know how to use the 'error' value given in the resting heart rate files. I would like to know below what error value would be considered a reliable reading so I can remove unreliable datapoints. Also would like to know what exactly 'error' means.
2) How is this resting HR computed? Is the HR computed during that corresponding sleep date?

If you're using the resting heart rate for research purposes, the approved method for obtaining user data, according to our Health Research Policy, is by using the Web API. The Heart Rate endpoints do not return an "error" value. We provide some information on how resting heart rate is calculated in the documentation at the bottom of each heart rate endpoint page.

Hi @Gordon-C ,
Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, we will be able to use only the export data function for our participants for the .json file. See in the below image what I mean. You can see that there is a value for Resting heart rate, however there is also an 'error' message, for instance in the first row its value is = 100. Do you know what this is?

I'm not exactly certain what is going on there. It's possible we don't have enough data to calculate the resting heart rate for this user. See Resting Heart Rate in the Web API documentation.

Thank you @Gordon-C I did check that but was not able to find an answer. So, we might want to exclude measurements for which the error is 100, but for instance if we see row 2, we do not really know what error = 13.8 stands for. Is it Standard Error, Standard deviation or another index? it is unclear.
Plus, would it be possible to check the Fitbit Wearing time somewhere?
Thank you,
cheers,
Alessandro

I would recommend to contact the main customer support team at https://help.fitbit.com/support about those questions. The Web API does not return on-wrist time.
