average heart rate missing in treadmill activity log

when fetching activity logs using /1/user/-/activities/list.json the walk activity has averageHeartRate attribute in the response but Treadmill activity does not have averageHeartrate or any bpm related fields. Why ? and How to get the avgHeartRate for treadmill activity ? using the activities/list.json api. The scope is allowed to fetch all the data. The device in sense 2.

Hi @sanmitha,

It's not clear to me what you are experiencing. Can you clarify what you're seeing in the JSON response? Are you seeing a 0 for avgHeartRate despite HR data being present or are you 0s for avgHeartRate and heartRateZones altogether for Treadmill activity?

I've found this happens to me as well while on the treadmill. My work around is to rotate the watch to the inside of your wrist, clock facing your thigh.

Ive had better accuracy and my average heart rate will showing a more accurate and true reading of my average after a walk/run/job.

My bet is for the issue occuring is due to the gps tracking interface. Have a look at the gps tracking after the walk. It's limited in space with the line tracking looking like a spider. Most likely this is overriding other commands spamming the logs.
