iOS: Login fails for a certain user

ANSWERED

Hi,

I have successfully implemented Fitbit to my app iOS app and I am now having one user having issues with login.

The user sees the login screen in my app and logs in with email and password. The users sees the loading indicator when tapping Login and is after some seconds taken back to the same screen. I have a video of this behavior but didn't wanna upload it here since it contains user data.

Only one user had this issue so far, it works just fine for everyone else. There is sadly no error message in the logs either. Does anyone have a theory of what could be going on here?

Thanks.

Hi @pepejeria

I believe the problem is due to this user having an Ace 2 paired to their account.  Ace 2 are used for children's accounts which do not support OAuth 2.   Therefore, this user should not be able to share the data with your application.

Hi @pepejeria

Would you please trying the video to me in a private message?  Also, please send me the user id, and the rough time period when the user try to sync their accounts.   I'll look in our logs to see if I can find the problem.

Yes, the user has an Ace 2 device. Thanks for the help. It would be great if the login screen would give the user an error about this.
