Smoothie Recipes

I've making some awesome smoothies with my immersion blender. Yesterday's was honey, nectarine, clementine, and blueberry.

Apple pie

 

Unsweetened milk (I use cashew) , about 1.5 cups

1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce

1 small apple

1 handul spinach/greens

2 teaspoon cinnamon (or less/to taste I loveee cinnamon)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 scoops protein powder (I use Visalis)

 

Extra add ins: chia, flaxseed, etc.  Chia is in all my shakes

I feel this is a great opportunity to share one of my favorite recipes with my favorite ingredients, berries! This is the triple-berry blend:

 

1 1/2 cups of mixed blackberries, strawberries and raspberries

1 cup of almond milk

1 tablespoon of honey

Cinnamon to taste

1 pinch of ginger powder

I have a smoothie almost every day for breakfast, but I like to keep it quick and simple:

 

1 banana

1 heaping handful of fresh kale

1/2 c. unsweetened apple sauce

1/2 c. frozen fruit, unsweetened

 

I use whatever frozen fruit type is on sale that week--mixed berry, blueberry, mango, strawberry, etc. Mixing it up makes me feel like I'm always having something different, but the base stays the same--such a tasty treat for breakfast!
