Battery life for Fitbit

I have had the same battery life problems as many others here. The Zip has serious problems with battery life, nothing to do with the battery or the battery terminals. A battery meant to last 4+ months should not die after 2 or 3 days under any usage circumstances. There seems to be something inherently wrong with the product.  It doesn't speak well for any of the Fitbit products.

HI @Topaz99 - I agree with you, that's not good. Is your tracker still within the 1 year warranty period?

I totally agree. My FitBit zip goes through a battery every 7-10 days. I've tried different brands of batteries and checked the expiration date, but I still need to replace the battery after a very short time. That's not acceptable.

I've been having the same issue with my zip lately as well. This just recently started and in the last 2 weeks I've went through 2 batteries. I've also noticed that some days my app on my phone will show a full battery life (green), the next yellow, then green...it keeps bouncing back and forth.

I am pretty disgusted.  My zip is less than 2 weeks old, on my 2nd battery, and getting low battery message.  Thinking I should just send it back and get another brand.  I had my last zip for several years and loved it until these latest battery issues.

I even called their customer service line, but the only "solution" they offered was to send me a code to get a 25% discount on the purchase of a new one. They sent me a follow-up email and told me that I would get a separate email with the code, but I never got it. Although why would I buy another one when this one is such a disappointment?. Then they asked me to complete a survey on my experience with their customer service. Boy did I let them have it!!! I doubt I'll ever hear from them again.
