So frustrated with my Zip!! There has been ongoing technical issues with Fitbit and battery life. The battery is drained in a week and needs to be replaced. I was told by customer service that my zip is not broken, it’s their tech issue and they are working on it. So my question is, Is Fitbit going to give me free batteries as this is their issue and spending $5 a week on batteries is very expensive.

They are doing nothing! Horrible customer service! They admit that it is their issue too!

Glad to hear that it's not just me with a problem with the battery draining so fast on my Zip. Today I have turned off the All day sync hoping that will help. Don't really want to change devises as only track steps and don't like wrist devises. Know I can get an Alta and put it in a clip but really like my Zip.

Thanks for stopping by @Bgtcme, @Stepgirl88, and @Camptime38! I appreciate that you have shared your thorough feedback for the Fitbit customer service, and devices.
As you mentioned at the moment this is a known issue by our engineering team and they are working to find a fix for this. You can join or follow the discussion Zip rapid battery drain on iOS version 2.41.1 for more information. We are really sorry for the inconvenience, and we hope to get you back on track soon.
If you have an Android device, you might want to verify that there is proper contact between the battery and the battery contacts inside your Zip. You can do this by opening the battery door of your Zip, removing your battery, and ensuring that the silver battery tab located in the lower right half of your tracker is flush with the white box outline in the tracker housing. The process can be followed here.
In the meantime, if you have an iOS device, we recommend disabling all-day-sync for now. Turn off All-Day Sync:
Thanks as always for your patience and understanding.

I am also having battery problems. This is terribly annoying. I had the one for years and had no problems. Much rather plug my one into my computer once a week than deal with this.

I have used 2 Fitbit zips in the past 4 years, in both of them batteries did not last 4-6 months as claimed by Fitbit. Of late, my batteries are draining in 1 week. There is serious technical or software flaw in the Zip device.
