I have tried wearing my fit bit when i walk/jog in the water, does not seem to track.
My question is when i enter water jogging as an activity ....1 hour of jogging 1 mile completed...there is no conversion to steps and it ask me to supply calories burned. Why does the system not calculate it.
Thanks
Best Answer@brownself interesting. it sounds as if this type of exercise doesnt want to acknowledge that steps are being taken.
As for wearing the zip while in the pool, it is not water resistant .
Best AnswerThe problem I see is that while walking through water your not walking through air. The water will tend to afect the way the body normally moves. I don't think Fitbit looked at this since the unit is not designed to be used in water.

Awesome help @Rich_Laue! 🙂 Welcome to the Forums @brownself! Thanks for sharing your experience with your Zip tracker. I think that you can create a custom activity for this.
This can only be done on your Online Dashboard. To do so, you can follow the steps described in the post How to manually log an activity on your web Dashboard?
I hope this helps, keep me posted!
P.S. Just remember to keep all dry and safe your Fitbit buddy since your Zip is not a water-resistance device.
I have a problem with versa 3 not counting steps accurately when water jogging. It always undercounts. I solved it by clapping in time with my steps.
