Dead Zip after battery change

My zip died!  The battery was replaced a bit ago and was reading 1/2.  I replaced the battery and still will not turn on...Help!

Thanks for stopping by @Alistrina! This sounds odd. Please make sure that the battery was inserted into the back of the unit, with the “+” sign facing up. The battery will rest in the center of the compartment.

 

Also, double check that the inside metal spring is correctly aligned. You can follow here the process suggested by @vomitofthemind.

ok, strange.. after a few days of not working, I tried the battery again... + side up like always and it works..
