Need to remove zip that I lost and add my wife's old one to my account.

That shouldn't be a problem. Go into the account section of the app and choose "set up a device". Select zip and it will ask you if you want to replace your existing zip. Just say yes and follow the prompts. All your data, settings, badges etc will be retained.
To stop any confusion it would be best to make sure that any devices your wife used to sync (phone, tablet...) are turned off so they don't block your connection.
