Edit steps?

Hi, my battery died. I have 2 questions related to this. 1) it took me a couple days to get a new battery. Is there a way I can manually edit my steps for those days? 2) I've read the posts regarding the battery touching the side metal piece. Is there an insert that's supposed to help? Ever since I replaced the battery my Zip occasionally stops working and I need to readjust the battery (I've used paper to help push it toward the metal sensor on the side but that seems awfully inefficient!). Thanks very much!

To add steps. go to the activity page and on the Bottom left hand side use the walking Icon to add steps.

Just remember that manually added steps do not go towards badges.

Thanks Wendy! Just don't see an activity page on my app. No walking icon that I can find on the app either. Do I need to do this on a PC or am I missing something?

Hey @Hmaklyon, thanks for getting back Smiley Very Happy! To add your steps, do the following:

  1. Log into your fitbit.com Dashboard.
  2. At the top of the page click Log > Activities.
  3. Click a common activity or search for one If the activity is not in our system, create your own by clicking the Create custom activity text that appears below the search field.
  4. Enter the duration, distance (if applicable), and start time of your activity. You can enter the number of calories burned if you'd like to.
  5. Click Log Activity. Your activity will now be visible and editable in the Logged Activities area.

As a friendly reminder, take into consideration that the manually logged steps will not count as part of the Challenges, if you use a mobile device to update your tracker.

Happy stepping!
