Can you factory reset a Zip? I received a Charger HR for a Christmas present and I want to give my daughter my Fitbit Zip. I am trying to reset (clear) all the data so she can start using?
I am not finding how to factory reset a zip?

I don't think you can factory reset the zip - however, it shouldn't be necessary.
If your daughter sets up a new fitbit account and then adds your zip as a new devices it will delete any data left on it and reassign it to her account. She will have no access to any of your data.

I have a bit different situation. My dog ate my zip and my girlfriend got a new one for Christmas. I tried to reset it but evidently it is picking up my previous account and it is just picking up where it left off. However.....her data is definitely not my data.
I would appreciate any help!

You guys were saying that if a new account was made on the zip it would reset and erase previous information. It did not seem to happen to me after mine was given to me. It still shows over a year of previous persons information.

@RLRoyce & @SunsetRunner thanks for joining us in the Community. Actually, @SteveH is right: if you set up another tracker to your Fitbit account, your historical data will remain on your already existing Fitbit account but it won't save any of the other user's data. If you'd like to start from zero then I recommend using a different email address when setting up your tracker.
Hope this makes sense. Let me know how it goes!
